Gentle Yoga

Clients of all age groups and health conditions are welcome. I particularly look forward to supporting those among you who lack confidence or ability to attend public yoga classes.

I currently offer a handful of private yoga classes per week. Please book early as I do sometimes run out of appointments.

My current yoga students’ ages range from 29 to 74.

With health conditions including sciatica, arthritis, stroke, general or age related stiffness, joint issues, low immune system as well as clients with completely flawless health.

Yoga is a physical and potentially spiritual, non-competitive, practice that will flush your system of stagnant energy, strengthen and rejuvenate your body and create space in your mind. You can utilize these benefits for your general wellbeing and if you are interested you can use them to aid your path to physical or emotional recovery.

There is so much written about yoga, I would like to invite you to not read anymore but come and try out some practice without thinking about it any further. Come and attend 3 classes and see if maybe you are ready to give this practice some time.

Available Yoga Classes:

{mostly I give private one-to-one lessons; sometimes I am invited to teach small groups – I prefer a maximum number of 6}

My main offerings at this time are:

Gentle Yoga adapted for ageing, chronic health issues, injury or general lack of energy and strength.

These classes will incorporate a lot of stillness, you don’t have to move if you can’t or don’t want to.  And defenitely nothing gymnastic or strenuous. Just feeling weak and struggling to get your confidence back on your own? I’ve experienced this, I can support you on your journey back to yourself. Can’t lift your arms high? No problem. Can’t stand up? We’ll adapt each session to your needs.

Yin Yoga & Therapeutic Yoga

for everybody who would like to explore ways to support their nervous system, has body issues they would like to improve (which can be healing or fitness related)

Yoga Foundation

for absolute beginners who are unsure about joining a general ability class: I am available on request any day of the week, available for private and small group classes. 30 – 90 minutes

For the more able bodied or adventurous I also offer:

Ashtanga Mysore Style classes 45-90 minutes, in your first week you can expect 45-60 minutes.

Yoga Sequence as a led practice for beginners and those happy to start over: 60-90 minutes

I try and maintain a very calm yoga practice room: students prepare by setting aside sufficient time to be present and ready to take the journey to calm, perhaps even stillness.
